Möhrendorf, 3. September 2018 – Grey is all theory? Not if it alternates with imbus green practice: The new training year begins today for the leading solution partner for software quality assurance and testing. Six prospective IT specialists for application development begin their training. In addition, there are the first two dual students in the company.
"With the IHK training to become an IT specialist, we have already won many great colleagues as experienced IT specialists in imbus' 25-year history," says Thomas Roßner, who as a member of the Executive Board is responsible, among other things, for Human Resources. "With immediate effect, we are taking the dual course of study as an additional way of building up talents for our team".
We will start with a young woman and a young man who will be studying computer science at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg for the next four years as well as training as an IT specialist for application development. The studies extend over the first three years. The training then begins in the second year and also lasts three years. They will then have a Bachelor of Science degree and the IHK certificate in their pocket.
During their internship at imbus, the dual students also undergo special training as software test engineers. In addition to numerous practical exercises, this includes, for example, the globally recognized certification to the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL).
For the six new IT trainees, the first day of work also marks the start of a varied phase in their lives: The two young women and four young men convinced the trainers last autumn as part of an apprentice assessment. Every year, dozens of young talents apply for an IT training place at imbus.
The IT specialists to be trained, specializing in application development, start at the Software TestCenter at the company headquarters in Möhrendorf. In addition to the IHK training, the ISTQB® CTFL is also on the agenda for them.
A total of 17 trainees are now employed at imbus; in addition to prospective IT specialists for application development, this also includes IT specialists for system integration as well as office management specialists.
